Overview

Spot bioluminescent fireflies, trek to the Shrivardhan Fort, stay in the quaint village of Rajmachi and escape into the forests of the Western Ghats. On this fireflies trek to Rajmachi, you’ll trek through dense wilderness to explore the trees, shrubs and bushes of the Western Ghats. En route, you’ll spot several bright, yellow fireflies that nestle in the monsoon-fed forests of Rajmachi. A sight to behold, especially in the darkness of the night, these twinkling fireflies will adorn your trail to Rajmachi. Another highlight of the trip, you’ll wake up and head out for an early morning trek to the Shirvardhan Fort, one of the two hill forts near Rajmachi.

Spot fireflies at Rajmachi

Rajmachi Fort

Report to the Lonavala railway station at 17:00 hrs. Here, you'll meet your trek leader and begin a drive towards the Udhewadi village. Mid-way, you'll get down from the vehicle and begin trekking to Udhewadi. En route, you will get to observe a fluttering fireflies all around you. After reaching the village, you'll set up your campsite, have some dinner and head out for a night hike to explore the surrounding. Overnight in tents at Rajmachi campsite.
You will reach the base camp near Rajmachi Fort by 20:00 hrs. Dinner will be served at the campsite. You'll spend the night in tents. If it rains, accommodation may be shifted to a local home-stay. Please carry a blanket for overnight use since sleeping bags will not be provided.

Explore the Rajmachi Fort

Lonavala

Your day begins with an early breakfast, after which you will set out to explore the Rajmachi Fort. It is at a short, uphill trek from the base village. Explore the historic fort, admire beautiful views of the valley and return to the village by noon. After lunch, you'll depart for Lonavala, reaching the railway station by 16:30 hrs. Your Rajmachi fireflies trek ends here.

Valid ID proof.
Water – 2 liters Mandatory
Sports / Trekking Shoes Compulsory.
Shoulder bag / Haversack / Rucksack (No sling Bag)
Energy Powder or Glucon D powder. Snacks & Biscuits.
Full-size pants (shorts, sleeveless t-shirts not advisable)
Extra Pair of Clothes. Clean napkin or small towel.
Cap/hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, moisturizer.
Rainwear / Poncho / Waterproof jacket etc. Rains are expected, so pack your bags accordingly to save them from getting wet. (For monsoons)
Woolen clothes / Jacket / Decathlon Fleece (For winters)
Double pack your valuables/phones in plastic bags.
Please carry medicines if you need any.
Bedsheet/sleeping bag (optional) and Torch (mandate) for camping or night trek

Payment Terms Policy

100% of the total trek cost should be paid 0 days before the date of booking

Confirmation Policy

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking

Cancellation Policy

If cancellations are made 5-7 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 3-5 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 0-3 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
No show: No refund.
All refunds will be processed after deducting the registration amount as the registration amount is non-refundable.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Notes

Double dose Vaccine certificate is mandatory.
Avoid wearing precious Jewellery while trekking, as Team TT, won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without a refund.
Fitness & Health – Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands a good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
Travellers are requested to treat the local culture with respect and avoid littering, defacing property and monuments and causing a general disturbance.
