Overview

Gear up to conquer the toughest trek in Maharashtra high above the Sahyadris by climbing a near vertical rock pinnacle of the Kalavantin Durg trek and enjoy spectacular views. Kalavantin Durg was used as a watchtower and is located right next to Prabalgad Fort on the old Mumbai Pune route. The beauty of this trek is the amazing rock-cut steps that zig-zag their way up the mountain to take you to the top of the fort. One can get a panoramic view from the top, not to mention the thrill of an exposed climb via the stairs.

SGNP Borivali

05:00 am: Meet the team at SGNP Main Gate, Borivali East
05:15 am: Journey Starts, Pickup On the way
05:30 am: Pickup from Pushpa Park, Malad
06:05 am: Pickup from Hanuman Road bus stop (For Andheri & Vile Parle)
06:15 am: Pickup from Kalanagar bus stop, Bandra
06:30 am: Pickup from Sion station, (Opp to MCD/Sion Lunch Home)
07:00 am: Pickup from Vashi Sector 17 bus stop (Below the bridge)
07:20 am: Pickup from Kalamboli MCD
08:30 am: Reach Thakurwadi village.
08:45 am: Start ascending towards Prabalmachi.
09:15 am:Reach at Prabalmachi and have a breakfast.
10:30 am: Start ascending Kalavantin Durg.
11:45 am: Reach on top and explore.
12:15 pm: Start descending to Prabalmachi.
01:15 pm: Reach Prabalmachi and have lunch.
02:15 pm: Descend to Thakurwadi.
04:00 pm: Reach Thakurwadi and move towards Mumbai.
07:00 pm: Approx. arrival at Mumbai.
